Professor Nilton is graduated in computing by the Universidade Estadual de Goiás (1994), Master of Computer Science by the Computer Science Department of the University of Brasilia (1999). PhD in Data Processing and Environmental Analysis by the Institute of Geosciences of the University of Brasilia (2003). Two Postdoctoral works in Computational Techniques for Time Series Analysis at Universities of Brasilia (UnB) and Washington (UW-Seatlle) (2011). One postdoctoral work in pattern recognition applied to time series of environmental data (2012). He is professor/researcher at Faculty of Engineering of the Brasília University (UnB), he is an editorial board member of the The International Journal of Forensic Computer Science and referee of the International Journal of Remote Sensing. He has experience in computer science, with emphasis on Numerical Computation, Digital Image Processing, Geoprocessing, Machine Learning and the application of intelligent agents for Pattern Recognition. He has been worked mainly on Research and Development of expert systems for treatment of remote sensing images and Big Data.
